Why Sinodun?
The name Sinodun is derived from the Celtic Seno-Dunum which means old Fort. A local landmark known as Wittenham Clumps, as pictured above, is part of the Sinodun Hills. This landmark has also been known as the Berkshire Bubs and Mother Dunch's Buttocks! Among the legends concerning the Clumps is the Money-Pit, concealing a vast treasure guarded by a black raven.
